At Robbins, we believe the true measure of a dance floor is not how the floor performs, but how it affects the artist.

While much of the flooring industry relies on material-based testing standards, Robbins took a different path. After helping introduce advanced performance standards to North America, we partnered with renowned biomechanist Dr. Benno Nigg and the University of Calgary to study how flooring impacts the human body, including fatigue, joint loading, muscle response, and injury risk.

That research shaped our Human Performance Standard and continues to guide every Robbins floor we design today.

We don’t start by asking, “How does the floor perform?” We start by asking, “How does the floor help the artist perform?”
